LYRICS ON THE BEAT

How to make a lyric video

A lyric video gives listeners something to read and sing along to, and it is often the first video a song gets. Here you paste the words, tap once per line while the song plays, and the lyrics appear over a music visualizer that moves with the track — no timeline editing, no upload.

Everything here runs in our free music visualizer, right in your browser.

How to do it

  1. 01

    Paste your lyrics

One line per row, as you would sing it. Already have timed lyrics? Import an LRC or SRT file and skip the next step.

  2. 02

    Tap to sync

Play the song and press the big TAP button (or Space) as each line starts. Snap to beat tidies your timing; Backspace undoes the last tap.

  3. 03

    Pick a look and export

Subtitle, Karaoke or Beat pop, then a font, a color and an effect. Drag the text where you want it and export the MP4.

Getting the timing right

Tapping is faster than typing timestamps, and a second pass is rarely needed. A few habits help:

  • Tap a fraction early rather than late — a line that appears just before it is sung reads better than one that lags.
  • Split long lines in two. A line should fit comfortably on a phone screen.
  • Missed one? Use Continue from line N instead of starting over, or nudge a single line by a tenth of a second.

Choosing a look

Subtitle is the quiet choice for ballads and spoken word: one line at a time, easy to read. Karaoke lights up each word as it is sung, which suits sing-along choruses. Beat pop drops one word per beat with a small bounce, made for hooks, rap and short clips.

Keep the text clear of the title and progress bar in the corner. If the box turns red while you drag it, it is covering them.

Pairing words with a visual

Busy styles like a light show or fire jets look best with a bold font and an outline or neon effect, so the words stay readable. Calm styles leave room for thinner fonts and a soft shadow.

Lyric video FAQ

Is making a lyric video free?

Yes. Lyrics, fonts, colors and effects are free on every export. Free exports are 720p with a small watermark; paid exports add 1080p and 4K.

Can I import lyrics I already timed?

Yes. LRC and SRT files keep their timing, so you can go straight to choosing a look.

Are my lyrics saved?

They are saved in your browser for each song, so they are still there when you load the same file again.

Can I make a vertical lyric video for TikTok or Reels?

Yes. Switch the format to 9:16 and the lyrics re-flow to fit the narrower frame. You can place them separately for each shape.
